I spearheaded UX Research projects for a banking product line at FIS where UXR was not a part of the product lifecycle.
This work demonstrated the need to establish a UX Research group, which was created as a team of 6-9 who supported several products.
It also led to improvements to the products and process based on analysis and participant feedback.
Working closely with product managers, business owners, and development teams at FIS to research, recommend, design and deliver concepts, wire frames and mockups for a legacy banking product line.
Projects required a strong focus on improving usability while maintaining consistency and compliance within business-critical legacy systems.
At MGIC, starting with one corporate site that strove to be all things to all people, I led efforts to reimagine the company digital presence to target content to specific audiences, improve information architecture and content strategy while allowing for regular design updates as marketing campaigns and promotions changed.
I established and grew a team of 5. We built, launched, maintained, redesigned (and retired) a suite of public-facing marketing websites – as few as 5 concurrently, as many as 9 - and internal websites – as few as 2 concurrently, as many as 4.
A freakish capacity for spatial reasoning, starting meaningful conversations, and using design thinking to find solutions has contributed to success. I embrace learning new things and sharing my experience with others, mentoring, coaching, and collaborating.
Leadership roles include managing a UX/digital team of 5-7 at MGIC for 7 years, and as a UX team lead at FIS for 6 years.
